With donations of time and resources from members, businesses,
and individuals, the Association sponsors many important
charitable activities and programs. With the help of the
government and related organizations, it promotes children’s
welfare by establishing an Emergency Relief Fund to look
after underprivileged children. The fund provides subsidies
for living, education, or medical expenses to allow children
to free themselves from the bond of poverty and have the
chance for a bright future.
The Association also provides long-term music rhythm courses
for hearing-impaired children. These courses allow hearing-impaired
children to cross over into the world of sound and build
up their confidence in interacting with people around
them. |

In addition, the Association participates in symposiums
on children support and assistance, sponsored by the government
and the private sector, to allow exchanges of views, promote
cooperation, and strengthen professional knowledge. It
is expected that through these symposiums, more can be
learned and more children in need may receive help.
In the future, the Association hopes to extend its focus
of support from Taiwan to other countries around the world,
offering help to underprivileged children all over the
globe. The ultimate ideal of the Association is to help
all children to have the chance of a good childhood and
the ability to develop themselves, whatever their race
or nationality. |
